Week Five Review: teachingwithipad.org a Blog by Steve Lai
Teachingwithipad.org is a wonderful blog filled with helpful tips, advice, and information about incorporating iPads into teaching. Steve Lai is a French teacher who has used an iPad while teaching for over 5 years and loved it so much he made a helpful bog that informs people about how to successfully do the same. His blog starts with the basics for teachers who are new to iPads and then progresses to more advanced information.
One part of Steve’s site that really stood out to me was iPad 101: The Basics. I found this part extremely helpful seeing as I am new to using iPads. One of the posts I read in this section was about how to manage the storage on your iPad. There were tips like moving your picture to sites like Dropbox which will help to clear up some space if you have a lot of pictures, like I do. I really liked this article because it seems like I am always getting notifications about how my iCloud storage is almost full.
Another part of the site I really liked was How can I use my iPad for teaching? Practical ways to get started. This section was full of a ton of helpful information like how to set your iPad up, how to do things like air print, and even how to use other apps commonly used in education. There are in depth post about all of the basic things you need to know when using an iPad.
Teachingwithipad.org is a really great resource! It includes things ranging from apps for teachers, product reviews, advice, and so much more that I recommend you take advantage of!
