About Miss. Bogen

My name is Allyson Bogen, however, I go by Ally. I am an elementary education major with an emphasis in special education at Kansas State University. I transferred here my sophomore year from Kansas Wesleyan University. While I attended KWU I was on their women's tennis team and their debate team. Before that I graduated from Junction City High School. I was born here in Manhattan, Kansas and have lived in the surrounding area my whole life.
Ever since elementary school I have enjoyed helping people to learn. As I progressed throughout grade school the idea of becoming a teacher was all I could think about. My senior year of high school I was lucky enough to participate in a year long internship at Sheridan Elementary. This internship helped me to confirm that I want to become a teacher, it also taught me that I have a true passion for working with students who have special needs. I am excited to continue my education at K-State and I can not wait untill I become an elementary special education teacher!
